Jonathan Law recently added Nurse Ms. Shea to their student health staff. 

Shea will join Mrs. Luth in the Nurse’s office, caring for students while they are in the building. She is excited and ready to step into her role at Law. 

“I chose Law because caring for my community members gives me a sense of purpose, Shea said. “It’s very meaningful to be able to make an impact on the health and safety of others.”

Nursing is not just a career for Shea; it has given her a completely different perspective of life. 

“My favorite part of nursing is getting to know people at their most vulnerable level, Shea said.”Being a nurse has really opened my eyes to the challenges people face and I have greater appreciation for life because of this.”

Principal Darcy emphasized the skills Shea is bringing to Law, which extend far beyond simply helping people. Shea worked in the ICU prior to Law, giving her experience in a hospital setting. 

“She has ICU level experience and is trained in recognizing and treating life threatening conditions,” Darcy said. “She also worked as a COVID nurse throughout the pandemic.” 

When she isn’t taking care of others, Shea’s hobbies include paddle boarding, going to the beach, gardening, and doing art.
