The Jonathan Law volleyball team is ready to start its fall season.
The team has been working hard during the offseason and preseason to get ready for their upcoming games.
Senior captains Jocelyn Larracuente and Ava Hayden will help lead the team this season. Senior Julia Kikis and junior Cayleigh Glynn will also be important players for the team.
Larracuente is excited about the team’s bond and playing with her teammates.
“I’m super excited about the team bonding and us playing together. We have such a good connection that it makes playing the sport better,” Larracuente said.
The team has been preparing by practicing often, doing conditioning, going to open gyms and having team bonding. They have also been working on rotations, serve receive and communication.
Glynn, a key junior player, wants to keep improving her skills this season.
“I hope to improve on my passing, having a strong platform and moving my feet,” Glynn said.
Hayden is looking forward to seeing all of the team’s hard work show during games.
“I’m most excited about seeing all of our practice pay off in our games and how we will put our skills together into cohesive plays,” Hayden said.
Kikis is especially excited for the game against Foran because of the town rivalry.
“I’m most excited for the Foran game because it’s a town rivalry, but a lot of us are friends with the girls on the Foran team, so we’re having fun while playing volleyball,” Kikis said.
With strong teamwork and good chemistry, Law volleyball is ready for a great season.
