Last year, the Law boys soccer team was led by a young group of three junior captains. 

Now, those captains are seniors and are ready to lead the team back to the playoffs in their final seasons as Lawmen. 

One of those returning captains is senior Max Moller. The star center-mid was a key component of the team’s success last year and looks to continue improving with his team. 

At 6’4” tall, Moller is a towering presence on the pitch and is esteemed by his coaches and teammates. 

“When Max talks, everyone listens,” Head Coach Mr. Gruber said. “His teammates know how much love he puts in for the game of soccer.” 

Moller is looking forward to the upcoming season. He wants to lead the team in their quest to return to the playoffs and plans to have his best season yet.

“I want to be proud of my last season playing soccer,” Moller said. “I know I’ll leave it all out on the field.”

Playing behind Moller in the backfield will be Senior Captain Cole Alogna. Alogna said Moller displays all of the characteristics of a captain, both on and off the field. 

“He leads by example through his skills on the pitch,” Alogna said. “Even when we find ourselves in a difficult situation, he continues to encourage the team.”

Last year, Moller’s younger brother, sophomore Nate Moller joined the team. He said he looks up to his brother and hopes to see himself filling those shoes in the near future. 

“Sometimes, I find myself modeling parts of my game after him,” Nate Moller said. “He sets a high standard for what it means to be a member of the Law soccer team and pushes us to be our best.”

A goal for Moller this season was to get himself more involved during scoring plays and on offense. 

“Max has great vision on the pitch,” Senior Alex Onze said. “He holds his composure during adversity on the field and consistently takes quality touches on the ball.”
