This year, Jonathan Law is happy to welcome a new Art teacher – Ms. Muldoon.
Muldoon will be teaching all Photography classes, Digital Media & Design, and Cartoon and Character Development. Muldoon said she wants her students to explore their abilities and expand their mind and creative side.
“Whether you want to build and expand your skill set in your career or artistic abilities.” Muldoon said. “I want to be able to give that safe space and that environment for the students to be able to grow as artists.”
Before Law, Muldoon did her observation hours in Bridgeport at John Winthrop Elementary, Mathewson Elementary, and was a student teacher at Orange Avenue Elementary School and Norwalk High School.
Muldoon jumped on the opportunity to join our school’s community because she enjoyed teaching here so much.
“I heard nothing but good things about Milford during my Master’s program at Southern,” Muldoon said. “And then I ended up loving it so much that I wanted to continue being in Milford.”
Muldoon’s students described her as collaborative, hard-working, and having a good vibe.
“She walks in the class and is very welcoming; it doesn’t feel like I’m walking into a new, scary environment,” senior Joeliz Gonzalez said. “She’s fantastic, she takes things slow, she talks through every point, and if I have a question I’m not afraid to ask.”
Muldoon said she would like her class to be a fun experience for her students, hoping that they fully explore their imaginations and see some passions spark.
