The Class of 2030 is the newest addition to Jonathan Law this year.

The freshman class joined Law on August 27 with high hopes and determination for this new year. They are learning the ropes of high school and exploring the opportunities around them. 

Freshman Class Advisor Ms. Doolan is excited to get to know the new class and work with them.

“My first impression of the Class of 2030 is that they are a bright and lively group that has a lot of good energy to bring to Jonathan Law,” Doolan said. “I’m excited to be working with them this year.”

The transition to high school can be challenging for new students. Law principal Mr. Darcy believes the freshman class has been successful in this transition. 

“The Class of 2030 has transitioned really well to JLHS,” Darcy said. “In the first few days, our wonderful staff and students have welcomed them into our JLHS family; I really look forward to seeing their growth over the next few years.”

The Class of 2030 has many new opportunities to explore in their first year. Freshman Rylan Sweeney is excited for this upcoming year. 

“I’m excited to meet new people this year and go into swim and drama,” Sweeney said. “I’ve been adjusting pretty well, but it can also be hard. The swim team has helped.”

The freshman class has been working well with the student body and liking their teachers this year. 

“My experience with the teachers has been great,” freshman Delaney French said. “I get along with the upperclassmen well.” 

Mr. Darcy has some advice for the freshman class for their upcoming year. 

“The biggest piece of advice to the Class of 2030 is to be involved in a club, activity, music, performing arts, or athletics,” Darcy said. “Students are more connected to our school community when they build positive relationships through these experiences. We have so much to offer our students, and I’d love to see them get involved.”
