Jonathan Law welcomed a new counselor this year – Mrs. Cavanna.

Before joining the Law community, Cavanna worked at Foran High School in Milford and St. Joseph High School in Trumbull. She has been a school counselor for six years and is excited to continue her work at Law.

Cavanna is looking forward to the school year ahead with her new coworkers and students.

“What I have enjoyed most is getting to know the students, staff, and families at Law,” Cavanna said. “Everyone has been incredibly welcoming, and I have really enjoyed experiencing the strong sense of school culture and pride that makes Law such a special community.”

“I enjoyed that she came to Foran first, so she wasn’t confused about how things work at Law,” Senior A.J Scappatura said. “I also liked how quickly she learned everyone’s names.”

Cavanna is especially excited to continue getting to know her students and supporting them throughout the school year.

“I’m looking forward to helping students navigate high school, explore their future goals, and make the most of all the opportunities available to them at Law,” Cavanna said. “I’m also excited to support students outside of the classroom by attending their games, performances, activities, and other events and becoming an active part of the Law community.”
