NEWS: Law Welcomes New Special Education Teacher Mrs. Black

Jonathan Law is excited to welcome a new Special Education teacher this year – Mrs. Black.
Black first taught in Seymour for 19 years before going to Harborside Middle School for three years.Black has been adapting well to Law and is excited to see what else is to come.
“So far, the transition to Jonathan Law has been a smooth one,” Black said. “The staff has been so welcoming. Over the past few days, I’ve enjoyed getting to know the students. I get a strong sense of the school community here.”
Freshman Gabriel Almeida was very excited to meet Blac, and can’t wait for this year to get to know her more.
“I feel happy because she is a really nice person,” Almeida said. “She is helpful, won’t be as hard with Mrs. Black helping.
Black is very excited for this new opportunity and the chance to meet new people.
“I am most excited about being part of the Law community,” Black said. “Working with colleagues to help our students to achieve their academic and personal goals.”
Junior Andre Johnson explained how Black works in the classroom to ensure fun everyday.
“She has a good personality,” Johnson said. “She makes the classroom alive and gets people active and motivated to learn.”
