Class of 2025 graduate Connor Woods is looking back on his football career at Jonathan Law and his journey beyond high school.

After two years at Auburn University, Woods has started to find his place in college. From school to campus activities, Woods stays busy while making the most of his college experience.

“I’ve started my financial accounting classes, been working with the business fraternity to recruit new members, gone to football tailgates and games on Saturdays, and played intramural sports,” Woods said. “It really makes college a better experience.”

 Woods said these activities have helped him stay involved and meet new people during his time at Auburn.

Although Woods loves his time at Auburn, he still misses Law, Milford, and his former football team. 

“It was awesome; I got to play with all of my best friends and got the best experience possible out of my time,” Woods said. “I have a lot of great memories, and I still remember most of them today.

His time playing football at Law gave him memories and friendships he still remembers today. Woods’ teammates remember him as a defensive leader on the field.

“He educated me in the stuff I didn’t know in football,” junior Nick Vancho said.

Woods was known as a leader on and off the field.

“He was very vocal and a good leader. He always knew what he was doing and was one of the smartest players on the field,” senior Alex Konlian said.

Leadership became a major part of Woods’ role within the team.

“He brought a good vibe to the team and was a good defensive leader,” senior Matthew Witteman said.

Woods always would try to keep the vibe high even when things got tough. He also had the opportunity to share the field with his younger brother for one season.

“Being able to play with my brother his senior season meant a lot to me. He helped me through the school year and football season,” junior Ryan Woods said. 

During Woods time at Law, he wasn’t just great on the field – he was also great in the classroom.

Woods finished his high school career as an honors student and took several AP classes.

Before Woods chose Auburn University, his dream school was North Carolina. He loved that school even as a kid, but unfortunately, he wasn’t accepted.

But Woods is very happy where he is right now.
