Jonathan Law Class of 2026 graduate Brian Gonzalez recently started his first year of college at Southern Connecticut University, majoring in Business and Finance.

There were many reasons why Gonzalez decided to go to Southern Connecticut.

“I went to Southern Connecticut because it was local, had a good business school, and I play football here as well,” Gonzalez said. “The academics and sports are very enjoyable.”

Gonzalez loves the new freedom he gets at college. He enjoys the newness of college as well.

“My favorite part about college is being in a new environment and being able to challenge myself,” Gonzalez said. “Especially having a lot more freedom, I want to see myself succeed.”

Even though Gonzalez is loving life at Southern, he still misses parts of Law and Milford.

“I miss my coaches and teachers that I had at law,” Gonzalez said. Also I’m in Milford almost every other weekend so that’s great.”
