Jonathan Law is excited to welcome a new math teacher this year – Ms. Daniele.
Daniele is teaching two classes of Algebra 1 and three classes of Geometry this year. As a first-year teacher, she is excited to begin her teaching career at Law and looks forward to helping students become more confident in math.
“I am really looking forward to teaching these classes as they are my favorite math courses to teach,” Daniele said. “I am especially looking forward to teaching the solving equations unit in Algebra 1 and to teaching the classifying angles lessons in Geometry.”
Sophomore Chloe Rossi is one of Daniele’s students and has already enjoyed having her as a teacher.
“I think she is a really nice teacher and she makes math easier to understand,” Rossi said. “She is always willing to help when someone has a question, and I think it will be a good year in her class.”
Daniele’s passion for teaching math began when she was in high school. She found her love for math during her freshman year when she was placed in an accelerated course that combined Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 into two years. Although the course was challenging, it helped her become more confident in math and inspired her to help other students.
“My big motto is that everyone is a math person,” Daniele said. “There is no such thing as saying ‘I am not a math person.’ I want math to be fun and something that should not be feared.”
Daniele also hopes her classroom will be a place where students feel comfortable working together and taking risks. She wants her students to learn the importance of respecting one another and creating a safe learning environment.
Daniele is excited for her first year at Jonathan Law and looks forward to becoming more involved in the school community while helping her students succeed both in and outside of math.
