The Jonathan Law Fashion Club is a great way to get involved in the school community and help others through textiles.

Fashion Club meets every Monday in Mrs. Lucia’s room (234).

“We’re a welcoming space and that it’s not a scary thing where people think ‘I have to dress well or I have to do this or do that,’” Senior President Scarlett Vieira said. “It’s just a space for everyone to be a part of.”

Fashion Club is an accepting and safe space for students to share their opinions on today’s fashion trends and volunteer in the community.

“We do a lot of volunteer work,” Vieira said. “Last year, we did our winter clothing drive, and we donated over 50 articles of clothing to the homeless shelter.”

The club is currently working on a Halloween event.

“We are working on a Halloween event, hopefully on the 29th,” junior Sara Toral said. “We still have yet to have an official date, in an official location.”

Another project the club is working towards is a collaboration with the Jonathan Law Drama Club.

“We have a bunch of corsets and undergarments that were donated to us by a store downtown,” Toral said. “They’re all new with tags. Hopefully, we’re going to donate them to the Drama Club and help out with the costumes for the plays.”

Fashion Club will also hold its annual Prom Dress Drive and open a boutique for students to come borrow dresses for upcoming dances.

“We are going to use the donations we got last year, collect the new ones from this year, and create a boutique,” Vieira said.

Members said Fashion Club is a valuable community and club to join for students who have an interest in volunteering around their school and town.
