From book bag to book shelf, Milford resident and Jonathan Law graduate Emily Bump has done it.
It’s not often an eighteen year old girl gets to publish a book of her own, but after three years of hard work, Bump has proved it possible.

After spending four years at Jonathan Law, it’s no surprise that some newly admitted college students could begin to miss their high school days.
The annual “Welcome Back Graduates” Day, organized by the National Honor Society, provides these nostalgic students the opportunity to return to Law and discuss their college lives.

The Lady Lawmen have high expectations for senior Jackie Kochiss this year.
Kochiss has been working hard all summer and fall for the upcoming 2011-2012 basketball season.

The movie, “A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas” came out in theatres on November 4.
The new movie is ridiculously funny with Harold and Kumar going through another crazy adventure. It’s also in 3D, making the movie even better.

Jonathan Law High School will be having a joint Holiday Book Fair with Foran High School at the Barnes and Noble in Milford.
This event will take place on Monday, December 5, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Barnes and Noble is located on the Boston Post Road, just past the mall.

It’s just another day for the Jonathan Law Sign Language Club.
The club offers American Sign Language (ASL) lessons and practices, and is open to all students.

The end is finally near for the “Twilight” franchise, but is it going out with a bang?
“Twilight” films are not known for stellar acting performances that deserve an Oscar, or amazing special effects. Yet, the “Twilight” franchise has a strong fan base that continues to go to the movies, making it so successful.

Being a gymnast for 10 years has really paid off for senior Abby Shackett.
Shackett has been doing gymnastics for 10 years and more to come. She started at Polly’s Gymnastics and has continued to take her talents to the Jonathan Law Gymnastics team.

In November of 2006, Elijah Wood rocked theaters everywhere with his animated movie Happy Feet. It was touching, had adventure, and even dancing and singing penguins that made this movie an instant favorite.
Happy Feet Two came out this November and has a lot of controversy. Critics are rating it 5 out of 10 stars while fans of Happy Feet are posting positive reviews all over the web.

Bright lawn ornaments, a holiday cheer, and knitted hats can only mean one thing: the holiday season is here, and what holiday is complete without presents?
Collaborating with the social workers at Bridges, a community support organization known for their work with the needy, the National Honor Society is giving underprivileged children the opportunity to get just what they want for the holidays through the annual Giving Tree toy drive.

With the weather getting colder and many families being left to fend for themselves, Jonathan Law English teacher Mrs. Goldbeck wanted to help by starting a coat drive.
Goldbeck held the coat drive for the past two weeks with Tuesday, November 29, being the last day.

On Thanksgiving Eve, the Lady Lawmen Powder Puff team made the grueling trek across town to take on the Lions of Foran High.
The game was played with high expectations for the Lady Lawmen as they looked to win their fourth straight game. In the end, that’s exactly what they did – prevailing with a convincing 31-8 victory.

The saying “there’s always next year” is applicable as ever for Law football following their matchup against Foran this past Thanksgiving.
The Lawmen struggled all game against the Lions offense, losing 48-13 and officially leaving them with an 0-10 record.

The new game “Gears of War 3” came out September 20 with awesome new features; there are bigger and stronger enemies, levels and weapons added to the game.
Marcus Fenix and his fellow COG soldiers (humans) rip locust jaws off, with armor up to their necks and action packed levels that bring the gamer to the underground world of the monsters and reptile creatures.

The Law girls’ volleyball traveled to Sacred Heart Academy on Wednesday, October 26, to take on the Pacers.
It was a win or-go-home game for the Lady Lawmen. If they were to win, they would not only qualify for SCCs, but states as well.

The frightening, suspenseful “Paranormal Activity” series has returned to theaters once again with “Paranormal Activity 3.”
The thrilling series started off as a low-budget, $15,000 movie, which was only showed at a Screamfest film festival. At that point, the director, Kofi Outlaw, didn’t even know if the movie would make the big screen.

What gamers all over the world have been craving since November 10, 2009, when the second installment was released is finally just around the corner.
“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” is set to be released on November 8 for Xbox360, Playstation 3, Microsoft Windows, and the Wii.

Every Tuesday, the Multicultural Club at Law meets in the College and Career Room or in the senior café after school.
Usual meetings involve planning for events, organizing fund raisers, and most importantly, sharing the many cultural backgrounds of each individual in the club.

On Friday night, Jonathan Law was hungry to break a streak of seven losses in a row in a matchup against Lyman Hall.
The effort, led by the full-time return of QB Timmy Maher and a strong running game, came up short, though, with the Lawmen falling to the Trojans 34-21.

Did you know that chocolate milk is better for you than regular milk or orange juice?
Upon walking into Jonathan Law’s Health Fair on Tuesday, October 18, students first encountered a presentation directly from the Milford Public Health Service about the seven nutrients of chocolate milk compared to other drinks.

For some, the sound of ghosts and goblins and blood sucking vampires just isn’t appealing. That isn’t a problem. This year on Halloween, students and teachers at Jonathan Law can give their blood to something better.
On October 31, Law will be hosting its annual fall blood drive for the American Red Cross, in the new gym, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be hosted by the Law Keyettes Club.

With every new school year brings with it new freshmen, and with new freshmen comes the responsibility of preparing them for their first year of high school.
Jonathan Law High School does this through the 8th Grade Open House. In this three-hour event, held on Wednesday, October 19, Jonathan Law seniors brought the future freshmen throughout the school, showing off some of what Law has to offer.

Law history teacher Mr. Dooley has officially been named the new head coach of the Jonathan Law boys basketball team.
Dooley is replacing Mr. Hoggatt, who had to give up coaching basketball when he became the Jonathan Law athletic director.
