As Jonathan Law’s first seven-year performer for plays and musicals, senior Justin Amaro has made his mark. After going through many challenging auditions, Amaro has made it through every one and scored a lead in almost every show. Advocate Staff Reporter Tyanna Xavier interviewed Amaro about his plans after high school.

Tyanna Xavier: Where are you going to college?

Justin Amaro: I am going to Long Island University Post because I really like the campus and location and they have a great musical theater program.

Tyanna Xavier: What are you majoring in?

JA: I am majoring in Musical Theater because it’s something I’ve always had a passion for and I love the feeling of being on stage.

TX: What are you doing to pass the time at home?

JA: To pass the time at home I have been sleeping, watching Netflix, Facetiming friends, playing games on my phone, going on hikes, and a ton of baking.

TX: What is your favorite Netflix show or movie that you’ve recently watched?

JA: My favorite shows on Netflix at the moment would be “Glee,” as I have rewatched it a few times now, “Tiger King,” and “Teen Wolf.”

TX: What do you want to say to your fellow classmates and teachers?

JA: Thank you for helping me become who I am. I wish I was there to see all of you grow and spend my last year with you guys as a favorable memory. Even though we might not see each other for a while I hope everyone from teachers to fellow friends are doing well and continue to make the most of this year.
