Makayla Mai is a senior at Jonathan Law High School. Mai was a part of the girls soccer team for four years, as well as the girls lacrosse team, and was lacrosse captain her senior year. She succeeds both on and off the field, and plans to do big things after high school. Advocate Staff Reporter Hailey Boyle interviewed Mai about her future, along with her break from school. 

Hailey Boyle: Where are you going to college?

Makayla Mai: I am going to Duquesne University.

HB: What are you majoring in?

MM: I’m majoring in Physical Therapy and will be in the six year doctorate program.

HB: What are you doing to pass the time at home?

MM: To pass time at home I’ve been going on runs and walks with my family. I have also been baking new things. 

HB: What is your favorite Netflix show or movie that you recently watched?

MM: I recently watched “Tiger King” on Netflix. It was so weird but so entertaining. 

HB: What do you want to say to your fellow classmates and teachers?

MM: I would like to tell my classmates and teachers I miss them a lot and hope they are staying healthy at home and I can’t wait to see them again.
