Law has to say goodbye to many great seniors this year, one being Eden Van Waveren. Van Waveren is one of the faces students see every morning on Eagle Eye News, a captain to the Jonathan Law volleyball team, and she ranks in the Top 10 in her class and is a student leader at any event she can get her hands on. Outside of school, Van Waveren will either be at Starbucks or taking pictures of her three cats. Being in quarantine has made it very hard for the seniors to tie up their high school careers and do all the things everyone looks forward to doing as seniors. Advocate Staff Reporter Gillian Rees interviewed Van Waveren about her future plans.
Gillian Rees: Where are you going to college?
Eden Van Waveren: I’m going to UConn-Storrs Campus.
GR: What are you majoring in?
EV: Business undecided. Potentially Business Management/Human Resources.
GR: What are you doing to pass the time at home?
EV: At home I’ve been sleeping…a lot. Watching Netflix, reading some books, doing home workouts and spending time with my family.
GR: What is your favorite show or movie that you have recently watched?
EV: My favorite show I’ve watched is “All-American” or ones I’ve rewatched like “Gossip Girl,” “The Foster” and “90210!” My favorite movies are “After,” “The Fundamentals of Caring” or “The Spectacular Now.”
GR: What do you want to say to your fellow classmates and teachers?
EV: To my fellow classmates and teachers, I MISS YOU ALL :(( Thank you for the past 3 ½ years making my high school experience the best it could be. Every encounter, good or bad, has shaped me into the person I am today, so thank you. This definitely isn’t goodbye.
