Seniors Hayley Soulier and Ratan Manohar have been selected as the SCC Scholar-Athletes of the Month for the month of February.

Soulier is a two-sport athlete. She was a key member of the Law volleyball team, and as a junior she was named captain for her senior year of basketball.

Soulier maintains a GPA of 3.79 while playing two sports and working at the children’s clothing store Osh Kosh B’Gosh.

Soulier has been accepted into 10 nursing programs, including schools such as Fairfield University and Quinnipiac University.

Not only does Soulier lead by example in the classrooms and on the court, she is the president of the Interact Club which is a community service- based program at Law.

“It’s great to be honored in such a huge way,” said Soulier. “I’m so excited to attend the banquet.”

Soulier and Manohar are both liaisons for Jonathan Law and attend every Board of Education meeting to give updates of what is happening at Law.

Manohar is the captain of the boys swim team along with being a standout student in the classroom.

He is an active member in the school’s award-winning Key Club, which is a community service-based club that volunteers its services around Milford.

Not only is Manohar apart of Law’s Key Club, he is also the international trustee for Key Club International, for which he does various community service trips all over the world.

Manohar is also an Eagle Scout, which allows him to do even more community service.

“When I found out that I won this award, it was a huge honor,” said Monohar, “It’s great to know (Law principal) Mr.Thompson is proud of my accomplishments.”

Manohar, whose GPA ranks him in the top 10 percent of the senior class, plans on attenting Northeastern University next fall and majoring in either biology or neuroscience.
