NEWS: Boys Basketball Hosts Unified Sports Clinic

The Jonathan Law boys basketball team recently participated in a basketball clinic to help Law’s Unified Sports athletes.
The basketball team set up different stations around the gym and helped all the Unified Sports kids to improve and learn different basketball skills.
Varsity coach Mr. Dooley and junior varsity coach Mr. Zuraw, set up the basketball clinic, and it was a great success.
“I really enjoyed giving back, said senior Jesse Doucette. “It was fun to work with the Unified Sports kids.”
The boys were separated into six different stations and then the Unified basketball players would rotate to the different stations. The boys’ players would then teach them all about their station and help them work on the skill.
The stations included passing, lay-ups, defense, dribbling, shooting, and rebounding.
“It was a really nice thing to do with the Unified team,” said senior Jason Binder. “It was a great time to give back and teach basketball.”
There were three to four players per stations and each station went for about five minutes at a time.
“It was really nice to do that for the Unified Sports kids,” said senior captain Sean Cameron. “They were all really excited and they all seemed to have a lot of fun working with us.”
The clinic was set up before the boys practice and lasted a half hour.
“The Unified Sports kids were really looking forward to the clinic when we told them about it,” said Cameron. “It helped me get to know them and make a connected with them.”
