“What is the newest technology that Apple has come up with?” Siri will respond with the Apple iPhone 4S.
The highly anticipated Apple product was released on Friday, October 14.
“Siri” is a voice activated system on the iPhone 4S. Siri will send reminders, send a text, or even recommend restaurants in the area. She is basically one’s own personal assistant.
Siri isn’t the only thing that was added to the new phone. Also added was a dual-core A5 chip, all new 8 mega pixel camera and optics, and iCloud.
So, what does this all mean? A faster processing speed, a higher quality camera, and wireless syncing capabilities.
“I really like how fast it is especially compared to my old phone [iPhone 3G],” said iPhone 4S owner senior Matt Telker. “Siri is surprising useful, and fun to play with.”
After the iPhone announcement on October 4th at the Apple conference, many were disappointed with no “iPhone 5.”
“I have heard all the disappointment that it’s not the [iPhone] 5,” said iPhone 4S owner Mr. Miller. “However, people aren’t giving it the credit it deserves.”
Apple has set records with the amount of iPhone 4S’s they have sold. In the first three days, Apple sold more than 4 million iPhone 4S devices.
That amount is more than double the 1.7 million iPhones sold by the Cupertino Company last year, during the introduction of the previous model (iPhone 4).
With the release of the new iPhone, Apple also increased its carriers, adding Sprint to the list. Back in 2007, AT&T was the only carrier who sold the iPhone. Just last year Verizon was added, and now all three have joined.
